California Highway Patrol officers closed off a portion of the westbound 210 Freeway in Sylmar to investigate a shooting early Thursday morning.
The shooting happened around 4:15 a.m. near the Roxford Street exit. Authorities said one person was transported to a hospital in an unknown condition. The suspects were on motorcycles.
Authorities diverted traffic off at that exit and shut down the eastbound 118 Freeway transition onto the westbound 210 Freeway.
Traffic was also diverted off to the westbound 118 Freeway for those traveling on the westbound 210. By 6 a.m., two lanes were reopened on the freeway.
No further information on the shooting was immediately available.
A truck trying to avoid the closure crashed and ended up hanging over a bridge leaking diesel fuel not far from the location, causing more traffic problems.
