The letter states that "all available resources have been focused on the district's recovery and repair of all schools sites, departments, and office facilities." The letter goes on to say that "every school and district property has required some leve of repair" as a result of the earthquakes.

Gateway and Richmond schools were the schools most impacted by the earthquakes.

"The delayed start for students at Gateway and Richmond will allow for for the full recovery of essential repairs, property cleanup, and for timely access for faculty and staff to prepare classrooms for instruction."

Ostash finished by saying that he wanted to "express sincere gratitude" for everyone's patience and support.
