Sunday the Sikh community rallied together for their annual Sikh Peace Parade in downtown Bakersfield.
Every year in the month of April followers of the Sikh religion celebrate the birth of their religion with the annual Sikh Peace Parade.
L Street to 18th Street was blocked off for parade festivities. Parking was also temporarily unavailable on 18th and 19th Streets between L and V Street.
Free food and drinks were offered, the event was also free for everyone who attended. Opportunities to learn about the Sikh religion were also availble.
The parade lasted from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
