A fatal accident was reported early Friday morning in Tehachapi.

Officers received reports of a wrong way driver than had left the roadway.

The vehicle was originally reported eastbound on Highway 58 at Mill Street in the westbound lanes. Then the vehicle left the roadway traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 58, west of Highway 202.

A solo vehicle with a single person was involved. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.

The collision is under investigation.
