The sister of convicted sex offender Stephen Merle Houk's spoke to 23ABC about her brother's capture Thursday.

Houk led authorities on a chase from Los Angeles County to Kern County Tuesday in his RV where he later took off on foot into an orchard. Thursday officials found Houk in a rail car in Barstow, his sister Edwina did not know about his capture until 23ABC reached out to her.

"Well I'm glad that it didn't come down to him being killed, but he's still a marked man," Houk's sister Edwina Jack said.

Houk was later taken into custody without further incident.
