Six additional deaths and 344 new COVID-19 cases reported in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Los Angeles County Public Health reported six additional deaths as a result of COVID-19 and 344 new confirmed cases Saturday.

According to a LA Public Health press release, five of the deaths occurred Friday. Those patients were all over 60 years old and health underlying health conditions.

In the last 48 hours, over 600 additional coronavirus cases have been reported in LA, increasing their total to 1804 confirmed cases, resulting in thirty-two deaths, the release states.

About 22 percent of COVID-19 patients in LA County have been hospitalized, according to the release.
