BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - (UPDATE: September 25, 2018 5:02 p.m.) According to KCFD, the fire is up to 4 acres. Crews are having trouble getting to the fire as there is water in the area.
No structures are threatened, but PG&E is on scene because of a power pole nearby.
KCFD said that crews will be at the scene over night to mop-up and watch for hot-spots.
Kern County Fire is reporting to a small fire at Chester Avenue and Roberts Lane. Officials say that the fire is a small, 1-acre slow-moving grass fire south of the Chester bridge.
