As temperatures dip throughout the state, Southern California Gas is hoping its customers stay warm, while conserving natural gas.
SoCal Gas has issued an advisory to its customers in an effort to conserve natural gas.
SoCal Gas sent out an advisory early Sunday morning asking customers to cut back on gas usage.
The advisory calls for customers to drop their thermostat to at least 68 degrees. It asks that customers wait a day to use major gas appliances and it asks that customers wash laundry with cold water when possible.
SoCal Gas says the advisory is not mandatory and at this point is only voluntary.
