BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — SoCalGas along with the Latino Restaurant Association will host an event to feed healthcare workers at Mercy Hospital Southwest on Monday.
The event is possible thanks to a grant from SoCalGas to LRA’s Feed Frontliners Program, which provides support to healthcare workers and restaurants affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hundreds of healthcare workers will receive free meals prepared by local Latino-owned restaurant La Costa. In addition to the free meals, healthcare workers will also receive care packages donated by SoCalGas.
The event takes place Monday from noon to 1 p.m.at Mercy Hospital Southwest on 400 Old River Road in Bakersfield.
