Son's skeletal remains found in blind mother's home after more than 20 years

It's like a scene out of a horror movie.  An elderly woman in Brooklyn was found living with the remains of her son.

NYPD sources say the corpse may have been there as long as 20 years, and the legally blind hoarder probably had no idea the body was in the house.

According to the New York Post, the skeletal remains were discovered when a relative came to Rita Wolfensohn's home to get some of her belongings to take to her while she was in the hospital.

In a room filled with trash and clutter -- Josette Buchman found a skeleton that was fully intact. It was even still dressed in a shirt, pants, and socks lying on the floor.

When questioned by police, Wolfensohn thought her son had simply moved out.

Sources told the Post the room reeked of rotting food, but not of a decomposing body.

Police have not identified the body yet, but do believe the remains are Wolfensohn's son, Louis. They say he died of natural causes.
