South High senior Abraham Castañeda has a lot to celebrate, he was accepted into some of the best colleges in the country. 

The list includes CSUB, Cal Poly SLO, Cal State Long Beach, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, Harvard, Yale, Penn State and Dartmouth. 

Castañeda decided to attend Harvard as a pre-med student. He chose this field after seeing his mom pass away from cancer when he was ten.

"I saw that medicine was making her better and then I realized she was dying and I realized medicine has the opportunity to change someone's life forever," said Castañeda.
