Los Angeles Police Officers said a dog died after being tied up to a pole in the heat with no water or shade.
LAPD responded to the area of South San Pedor Street just south of Florence after a concerned neighbor called police.
Officers found the dog's body tied to a pole in the driveway with no water or shade.
LAPD's Animal Cruelty Task Force is investigating the incident.
No word on arrests.
