ARVIN, Calif. — UPDATE: Water has been restored to Southeast Arvin residents following the water main break that took place earlier today.

Some Southeast Arvin residents are without water after a construction crew hit a water main.

The water main break is in the 800 block of South Derby Street just south of Langford Avenue. According to the Arvin Community Services District, a construction crew hit a water main in the area, causing the break.

Arvin Community Services District says South Derby Street, Langford Avenue, Cardiff Avenue and Tejon Highway are affected. No word on the total number of customers without water.
