Southern California Edison considering more power shutoffs, 15k Kern County customers could be impacted

Southern California Edison is considering another round of Public Safety Power Shutoffs beginning Monday morning.

Due to high winds across Southern California, SoCal Edison is considering shutting off power to more than 162,000 customers.

In Kern County, 15,571 customers could be impacted as early as 6 a.m. Monday. Those shutoffs would go until 9 p.m. Monday.

Customers in the potential PSPS zone in Kern County are in the Bear Valley Springs, Bodfish, Frazier Park, Keene, Kernville and Tehachapi areas.

Power could go out at 9 a.m. Monday for the Frazier Park area and wouldn't be restored until about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
