Sparkling Image Car Wash will help raise money to send Kern County students to an annual educational field trip, Friday. 

50 percent of money from all full service car washes will go towards helping students attend Camp Keep. 

Every year more than 7,000 local students travel to the coast to attend the 5-day long camp that teaches them about nature, conservation and leadership. 

"I learned it's not just a person who is all involved in nature that can help, it's like simple people and simple citizens who can do simple stuff to help our environment," said Riordan Banks, a 7th grader who attended Camp Keep last year. 

The fundraisers will be held at all five Sparkling Image locations in Bakersfield.

In the last six years the car wash has raised nearly $40,000 to send students to Camp Keep.
