WASCO, Calif. — A Wasco Catholic Church, St. John the Evangelist Parish, reported Thursday that their statue of Sacred Heart was destroyed Wednesday night.
The church posted to its Facebook page Thursday mornings say, "Sadly somebody destroyed the statue of Sacred Heart last night around 11 p.m."
To Catholics, the Sacred Heart of Jesus is meant to be a physical representation of the undying love and compassion Jesus has for humanity.
