The Strabucks Foundation awarded the 2017 Opportunity for All grant to the Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK).
The grant will fund CAPK's Prep Work Program, which assists young people to engage in the workforce and gain financial stability through a 10-week course.
The course teaches things that include job preparation, communication skills, financial literacy and many other life skills that can be helpful to teens between the ages of 16 and 18 years old.
Those who participate in the Prep Work Program also get the chance to learn through paid work experience.
