Ming Avenue on-ramp to Highway 99 to close for construction work

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Ming Ave. on-ramp to NB State Route 99 will be closed during nighttime hours March 16-19 due to work on the new retaining wall.

The on-ramp is expected to be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., each night. During these hours, northbound motorists can enter the freeway from the Wible Road on-ramp, located approximately one mile north of Ming Avenue.

A full freeway closure will be needed on southbound State Route 99 March 19. Crews will be working above the traffic lanes on falsework for the WB State Route 58 separation bridge widening between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Southbound motorists will be detoured from the freeway at Stockdale Highway and will follow Real Road south to the Ming Ave. interchange to reenter the freeway.

All work may be rescheduled without notice due to unforeseen circumstances.
