The Stockdale High School color guard is officially the 2017 WGI World Champion.

The team has been in Dayton, Ohio since Tuesday to compete in the world championships.

They were up against 40 states and 5 countries and won with a final score of 97.80.

The team won the Union City Regional Championships before they went to Dayton, Ohio for the WGI Color Guard World Championships.

Color guard is a combination of dance and theater combined with gymnastics and precision color guard maneuvers, originally inspired by a military color guard.
