Stockdale Post Office holding two passport fairs this month

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Stockdale Post Office will be holding a passport fair two Sunday's this month where people will be able to have their passport photo taken for $15.

There is no appointment necessary and it is recommended that customers fill out forms ahead of time to speed up the process. Application forms and information on how to apply for a passport book or card can be found at www.usps.com/passport or www.travel.state.gov/passport.

To apply for a passport, applicants will need to bring:

  • A valid form of photo identification such as a current driver's license, government ID or military photo ID.
  • A certified copy of their birth certificate issued y the state in which they were born, an original certification of naturalization or their old passport.

The passport fairs will take place on Sunday, March 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, March 31 at 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Customers can also obtain passport information by phone, in English and Spanish, by calling the National Passport Information Center toll-free at (877) 487-2778.
