Street Dog Coalition coming to Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Some dogs and cats on the street are going to get some TLC on Thursday.

The Street Dog Coalition is making a stop in Bakersfield to offer wellness care for homeless pets.

The organization will be at the Saint Vincent de Paul Society from 10:30 a.m. to noon, providing physical exams, vaccinations, parasite control and treatment of minor medical conditions to pets at no cost.

According to their website, the mission of the Street Dog Coalition is to provide free medical care and related services to pets of the homeless.

The Street Dog Coalition started in 2015 in Colorado but has since expanded across the country.

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society is located on Baker Street.
