Student arrested for making threats at RHS

A teen was arrested Tuesday afternoon after deputies said he was making threats of shooting students at Rosamond High School.

Deputies were sent to the school in regards to a male juvenile a student that he was possibly distraught and was going to shoot students at the school. 

Deputies from the Rosamond Substation went to the school to protect the students while other deputies from Rosamond and Mojave attempted to locate the suspect. 

The male juvenile, who is 17 years old,  was located away from the school and taken in to custody without incident. 

The male juvenile did not have any weapons when located. 

He was taken and booked into Juvenile Hall on a charge of making terrorist threats.
