A student was stabbed Thursday morning during a fight on the Bakersfield High School campus.
According to Erin Briscoe, Public Information Officer for the Kern High School District, a student suffered a stab wound to his shoulder from an unknown object during the altercation.
The student was taken to the hospital for treatment. KHSD police are currently talking to students. No arrests have been made.

Student and staff safety is a priority for the Kern High School District. On Thursday, October 18, a fight broke out on the campus of Bakersfield High School. During the altercation, a student suffered a stab wound to his shoulder from an unknown object and was taken to the hospital for treatment. An investigation is underway by the KHSD Police Department. The Kern High School District does not condone violence of any kind, and the appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken.
