Edwards Air Force Base announced a flyover Bakersfield during the time students would be in school, and some schools honored with the flyover will be taking part in it. 

The Greenfield Union School District announced that on Friday October 13, 2017 between 12:15 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. the Planz Elementary School will have a chance to see the flyover by Edwards Air Force Base marking the 70th anniversary of the first supersonic flight that took place on October 14, 1947.

Planz Elementary School is the only school to be flown over by the Edwards Air Force Base within the Greenfield Union High School District. 

Stockdale High School will also be honored with a flyover today, Friday October 13, 2017 as well. 

The flyover will be happening between 12:15 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. as well and will be happening during lunch for the students.
