A special film series is coming to a Bakersfield theater this summer, all celebrating the best of Japanese animation. 

Reading Cinemas at the Valley Plaza Mall on Ming Avenue is hosting a Studio Ghibli Animated Film Festival all summer long. Studio Ghibli is the Japanese Animation division of Walt Disney Studios. 

Every Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Thursday at 11 a.m., a different film will be shown from the critically acclaimed studio. All tickets are regular admission prices. 7 p.m. shows will be presented in Japanese with English subtitles, while the 11 a.m. showings will be dubbed in English. 

Movies include the Oscar-winning Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and Kiki's Delivery.
