One Bakersfield elementary school appeared on a new study of the most dangerous elementary schools in California.

Every car, pedestrian, and bicycle accident within ½ mile of every school was cataloged.

Downtown Elementary School ranked 290 in the list, with 142 car accidents, 6 pedestrian accidents, and 3 bicycle accidents in 2015 within ½ mile.

The study looks at the over three million children under the age of 12 in the state of California that travel to school in cars and buses or on bikes or by foot.

The study analyzes over 400,000 motor vehicle collision records from 2015 and compared them against the locations of over 6,000 California elementary schools.
