Latinos age slower than other ethnicities, according to a new study by the University of California Los Angeles.
Latinos in the U.S. live an average of three years longer than Caucasians. Life expectancy for Latinos is 82 years, versus the average life expectancy for Caucasians which is 79, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Scientists are hoping to use this knowledge to understand how to slow the aging process for everyone.
The findings were published in the current issue of Genome Biology.
