Superior Court judge sentences man to three 15-years to life sentences

Today, November 2, 2017 a Superior Court judge Kenneth Twisselman II sentenced Jaime Herrera to three consecutive 15-years to life sentences. Herrera will also have to file as a sex offender as part of his sentence. 

Herrera was convicted by a Kern County jury on August 24, 2017 of four counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, along with enhancements for committing those crimes upon multiple victims. 

According to the office of the district attorney, between 2005 and 2012, Herrera perpetrated the crimes of lewd acts upon a child under 14 on three different girls. The girls ages ranged from nine to 13-years-old. 

Herrera allegedly committed the crimes in both Kern County and Nevada. Herrera was ultimately arrested and charged in both Kern County and Clark County Nevada.
