California City held their Tortoise Days Parade Saturday. This one however involved a special surprise. Master Sergeant Lanora Archuleta had been on deployment but was able to reunite with her children.

Archuleta’s children were chosen to be honorary judges for the parade. The fire department brought Archuleta down the parade route stopping right in front of the judge’s table. Archuleta then stepped out of the fire truck to reunite with her whole family.

Archuleta had been back for a few days and the family and not been able to see her because Archuleta’s husband, Nate, wanted to keep it a surprise for the kids.
