Kern County Sheriff's deputies found a man prowling in the area of Knudsen and Olive, on Sunday, November 20 around 1:30 p.m.
When they tried to stop him, 36-year-old Jeffrey Reese ran. Deputies caught up to him, and a fight ensued. One deputy was struck in the face, and another deputy in the knee.
The suspect sustained minor injuries.
