James Deloney was sentenced to 16 years in Wasco State Prison Friday.
Deloney pled no contest to voluntary manslaughter. The charges of first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon were dropped.
Deloney was arrested in 2013 for an alleged gang-related weekend murder.
