A man arrested in 2012 for the death of a one-year-old boy in South Bakersfield was found guilty of first degree murder Tuesday.
Carlos Ruben Laguna was charged with first degree murder and assault of a child under 8 resulting in death. The charge of willful cruelty to a child was dropped.
The incident happened in 2010.
He will be sentenced in April.
