Suspect in Ridgecrest Homicide due in court this afternoon

RIDGECREST, Calif. – The man arrested for a deadly shooting in Ridgecrest over the weekend is scheduled to be in court this afternoon.

 

Sheriff Officials say 67-year-old Philip Norwood shot Michael Davis at the Cameo Kennels and Cameo School of Dog Training on Saturday.

 

Davis was the husband of one of Norwood’s employees at the kennel.

 

Sheriff Investigators say the victim’s wife told them that she and her husband, Michael Davis, were arguing before Norwood shot him.

 

No one else was injured.

 

Norwood is to be arraigned on a charge of first degree murder.
