The Kern County Sheriff's Office is looking for suspects they say tried to run down a deputy Tuesday night.

It happened about 9:30 p.m. in the area of Pacific and Virginia streets. 

KCSO officials tell 23ABC that following a short pursuit the deputy got out of his patrol car. While he was out the suspect tried to run him over. The deputy was able to get out of the way and was not hurt. 

KCSO says there were two people in the car, which was only described as dark colored. 

No arrests have been made and no suspect information is available.
