Suspected meth and heroin seized in Buttonwillow, two suspects arrested

On Thursday, July 26 Kern County Sheriff Deputies conducted a probation search near Miller Road and Cotton Avenue in Buttonwillow.

During the search, deputies located 70.43 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 7.26 grams of suspected heroin, an SKS style 7.62 mm assault rifle, a pump-action shotgun, and a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun according to KCSO.

Deputies said that they arrested Tevis Stephens, 40, and Alyssa Johnson, 25 for numerous felony charges. Stephens was transported and booked into the Central Receiving Facility according to Police. 

KCSO said that the estimated street value of the drugs is $900.
