SWAT presence in Taft for sighting of possible suspect wanted for several felony warrants

TAFT, Calif. -

Taft police officers and Kern County Sheriff's SWAT teams responded to the 100 block of Madison Street in Taft on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. looking for a felony warrant suspect.

 

Someone matching the description of the suspect was seen entering a home. Everyone else inside of the home came out and officers attempted to make contact with the suspect for over four hours before discovering that he was not inside.

 

The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Eduardo Alcantar Lopez. Lopez is wanted for kidnapping, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, terrorist threats, burglary and resisting arrest.
