Kern County Sheriff's officials have determined the man who was believed to be in a home during a SWAT standoff was not there.
KCSO was on a SWAT call out for a possible barricaded suspect in the 1700 block of Rench Road in Oildale.
Where the standoff took place was just west of the Kern County Sheriff's Department headquarters.
Norris Road is closed to all east and westbound traffic at Airport Road and Roberts Lane.
