The iHope community forum will be happening in order to inform the public over the concern of homelessness in Bakersfield.
While the Kern County Homeless Collaborative has reported an overall decline in the homeless population, some say the issue seems to have worsened in the downtown district.
The forum is set to happen on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Cal State Bakersfield's student housing east multi-purpose room.
Experts from local non-profit organizations and agencies will be moderating the conversation and will be talking about what can be done about the problem.
