Tacos & Tempranillo to benefit League of Dreams

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The League of Dreams has partnered with Tlo Wines and Brooklyn’s BBQ for Tacos & Tempranillo, a fundraiser for the League of Dreams on Oct. 20, at Tlo Wines, 1212 8th Street, tickets holders will pick up their food from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $65 and include a bottle of the Tlo Wines 2017 Tempranillo and tacos for two, 8 pulled pork street tacos.

There will be a live Zoom with Avery Zaninovich of Tlo Wines to talk about the pairing and wine.

This taco Tuesday benefits the League of Dreams in partnership with two locally owned businesses who were also affected by the COVID shutdowns.

“We love everything League of Dreams is about and we’re so excited to be able to do something to support this amazing program. And who doesn’t love some tacos and Tempranillo?!” says Avery Zaninovich, Tlo Wines.

“We do everything we can to support the League of Dreams because we believe that what they do is amazing,” John Steeber, owner Brooklyn’s BBQ.

The mission of the League of Dreams is to give every child a chance to play by providing sports training, team camaraderie, and competitive sporting opportunities to athletes ages 5 to 22 with physical or developmental disabilities.
