BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Taft Correctional Institution presented 45 inmates with certificates of completion during its Institute Nacional para Ia Educacion de Los Adultos (INEA) Program graduation ceremony on March 20.
Completion of the program is similar to earning a GED or equivalent diploma.
The INEA program works to improve literacy, quality of life, and likelihood of success among Mexican nationals or other nationalities whose primary language is Spanish.
