The Taft Police Department is investigating break-ins to at least six businesses near Center Street and 4th Street. The break-ins happened Thursday night, according to police. Officials found evidence of break-ins at multiple businesses on both sides of 4th Street. Glass was shattered at Emy's Variety Store and evidence of entry was also found at Bangs & Tangles. Mark's Nu Uzed & Refurbished was also broken into. Police are investigating and looking at the cost of the damage.
