An adult female called Taft deputies Saturday evening and reported she had been kidnapped and raped at a home in the 600 block of Buchanan Street in Ford City.

Deputies went to the home to find the suspect, 24-year-old Kevin Larry. 

When deputies arrived, Larry ran away through the neighborhood. Deputies chased after Larry and took him into custody several blocks away.

Larry left his one year old child alone in the home. The child was uninjured and later released to a family friend. 

Larry was booked at the Kern County Jail for kidnapping, rape, forced oral copulation, threaten with intent to terrorize, willful cruelty to a child, and resist or delay a peace officer.
