UPDATE: October 26 4:30PM: According to the Kern County Fire Department the fire is now 50 acres and 80% contained. No homes were impacted and the fire has not affected any roads in the area.

The Tank Fire has burned 40 acres and is currently 50% contained. There are currently 55 firefighters fighting the blaze and according to the Kern County Fire Department, are making good progress.
