The Kern Cancer Coalition is hosting a barbecue on Wednesday as it hopes to help local organizations dedicated to helping families battling the deadly disease.

The coalition, which consists of the Josh Farler Foundation, Kern County Cancer Foundation, Links for Life and Thumbs Up Cancer Down, will host the barbecue at Buck Owens Crystal Palace.

It runs from 11 a.m to 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15.
