The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a shooting in east Bakersfield.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting on Columbus Street near Haley Street around 7 p.m. Friday evening.
When officers arrived they found a 17-year-old male victim with a minor gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
Police say there is no suspect information to release at this time.
The motive for the shooting is yet to be determined.
