The show will go on for the residents of Tehachapi. The city announced on Friday it's planning to have their fireworks display.
"The good news is at no point did we consider canceling the event. I'm happy to report that the Fourth of July fireworks are moving forward as scheduled," said Economic Development Coordinator
Corey Costelloe. "They will originate from the north side of the Tehachapi Municipal Airport on Saturday, July 4th at 9 p.m."
Costelloe said due to concerns with COVID-19 the city will be unable to provide a public viewing venue as in years past. However, he said with it being held at the airport people will be able to view it around the city.
The fireworks begin Saturday, July 4th at 9 p.m.
