The Kern County Fire Department will be holding a Wildfire Awareness Expo in Tehachapi on May 12 from 10am - 12pm.

The purpose of this event is to give residents the opportunity to receive valuable information on the new hazard reduction guidelines, wildfire awareness and emergency preparedness information.

KCFD officials said they will have local engines, hand crews, wildland firefighting equipment, dozer, helicopter, hazmat, and USAR out there on display.

The Wildfire Expo will be held at Meadowbrook Park, starting at 10 a.m.
