BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A 29-year-old Tehachapi man has been arrested after allegedly posting criminal threats to social media.
According to Tehachapi police, Kevyn Devereaux admitted that he posted possible threats related to "intentions to engage in a shooting at a local retailer".
Cops also found additional posts from Devereaux depicting photographs of an assault rifle.
According to police, Devereaux also indicated he was aware of the recent mass shootings and acknowledged members of the public would likely take the threat seriously. He also said he had no intention of carrying out the threat and was “messing around", according to Tehachapi police.
