Tehachapi Police: Man arrested for fictitious and forged checks

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Saturday, January 12 at approximately 4 p.m., officers with the Tehachapi Police Department conducted a search of 33-year-old Mason Price and found suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and pepper spray.

According to police, they continued to search the man's backpack and located numerous fictitious checks and blank check templates.

The fictitious checks were made payable to Price from various farming businesses in Tulare, the state of California and the Department of Child Support Services and also contained forged signatures. Price was also found to be in possession of a laptop and printer.

He was booked into Kern County Jail for narcotics and weapons violations as well as several forgery related charges.
