UPDATE (October 13, 2017 12:54 p.m.): Various writings were discovered at Tehachapi High School on Thursday, October 12, 2017 that expressed the intent to "shoot up the school". 

The Tehachapi Police Department is currently investigating who is responsible for these writings, and have received some tips that could help the investigation. 

However, there is currently no information to deem this threat credible according to the Tehachapi Police Department.

Tehachapi Police will be on the campus of Tehachapi High School following reports of threats.

According to the Tehachapi Unified School District, a note with a written threat was found on the campus of Tehachapi High on Thursday. The school and the district notified Tehachapi Police, who are investigating. 

The district sent out a robo-call on Thursday, alerting parents of the threat. The call let parents know that Tehachapi Police would have officers on site at Tehachapi High today.
